Hardcore Punk band FELDSPAR releases the music video for their debut single ‘COBBLESTONES,’ from their forthcoming debut album. The music video is professionally shot by well-known Italian director, Robert ‘Saku’ Cinardi, who has worked with LACUNA COIL and directed films/TV series for major platforms. Lyrically, the song is an anthem of a love-hate sentiment for Rome, looking at both the city from a popular perspective as a tourist pilgrimage and as an authentic and antagonistic view from those who live there. The video’s imagery mirrors the song’s lyrics, serving as a three minute short film that encapsulates the essence of contemporary Rome and Italy. Musically, the song is an energetic ride, made vibrant by hyper-modern Nordic-style breakdowns.
FELDSPAR emerged from the eternal city of Rome in 2023, just a stone’s throw from the Vatican. Known as “the godless folks two blocks from the Pope,” the band delves into the shadows to unravel the clandestine threads of power. The band, named after a mineral purportedly worn by a covert Roman clergy, works tirelessly to expose the elusive puppeteers who shape the currents of politics and influence.
The song heralds the beginning of the band’s collaboration with highly acclaimed London-based producer Nick Terry. Nick, who has worked with such bands as THE LIBERTINES, IAN BROWN, and TURBONEGRO among many others, has also entirely produced their upcoming debut album.
