In a short time we will have the long-awaited Helloween live in our country (Saturday, June 17, 2023 at the water square). But in order for them to be adored by the Greek public and of course not only, an album played a big role, the release anniversary of which is today, May 23rd.
It is the savior year 1987 and May 23 is written when one of the most important albums of power metal is released and makes even the deaf listen and the dumb sing the lyrics.
Keeper of the Seven Keys Part I and II is the best Helloween has released and that entails.
It is Helloween’s second album and the first with the 19-year-old Michael Kiske. Many people like the vocals of Kai Hansen and later Andi Deris but we are talking about something else here. We are talking about the apotheosis of the upper scale and surely we have all tried to get there vocally, listening to him.
It is one of the reasons for the album’s success.
Second reason is the compositions.
Kai Hansen and Michael Weikath write timeless anthems and identify with everyone who listens to the album.
Anthems such as I’m Alive, A Little Time, Twilight of the Gods, A Tale That Wasn’t Right, Future World and Halloween were never rewritten.
“Keeper of the Seven Keys Part I”, as an album as well as the musicians who created it inspired many and even today we understand the results of this release.
