On this day, March 6, 1954 (age 69), Joey DeMaio was born in Auburn, New York, USA. Bassist, founder and member (along with Ross the Boss Friedman and Eric Adams) main composer of the colossal “Manowar”. In his CV there are huge albums – legacies for the entire musical firmament. In 2005 he founded the record label, Magic Circle Music. A quirky character to be sure, but any of that pales in comparison to what he’s given us.
