Progressive/Tech death metal band EXUVIAL release new single and music video for ‘SUBTERRANEAN SWARM,’ featuring the mighty BEN TOWLES of GREYLOTUS. ‘SUBTERRANEAN SWARM,’ sounds as cavernous and deep as its namesake, offering a dark blend of dismal atmosphere and technical prowess.
Denver, Colorado based EXUVIAL were born after the dissolution of its founders’ previous band, APOTHEON. The brainchild of Ethan Walden, Fernando del Valle III, and Ibrahim Jimenez, Exuvial was brought to life when the musicians decided to shift their focus into integrating their brand of death metal into sci-fi concepts. After drummer Andrew Baird joined their ranks, the band decided to refine the concept into a three-album audiovisual epic.
The music video for ‘SUBTERRANEAN SWARM’ is a fully immersive experience, visually brought to life by CAELAN STOKKERMANS (LORNA SHORE, CROWN MAGNETAR). The video not only fully realizes the song’s vision but provides a statement that EXUVIAL is much more than a musical project–it’s the future of metal, intellectually stimulating as it is sonically exhilarating.
