Verwoed – “The Mother” album review

On March 28, 2024 internationally, Wolves of Hades and Argento Records proudly present Verwoed’s highly anticipated second album, The Mother, on CD, vinyl LP and cassette format.

The journey of the Dutch Verwoed is a constant sonic exploration and innovation.
This explosive band returns with a highly anticipated fourth release and second full-length album, an exciting and utterly immersive experience under the title “The Mother”.

In the past we have already witnessed the way Verwoed travel through inconceivable acoustic forms full of emotion and intensity “The Mother” gives space to the Utrecht project to take a step further in the direction of the abyss, an epic of grandeur and imposing nature, full of emotion in the form of impressive riffs and electric atmosphere.

With the help of an extremely good production, the sound quality of “The Mother”, is steeped in dynamics and is felt in the deepest of the dark soul. Such a character unfolds through a musical mosaic that is both complex and emotionally resonant, whether by the incredibly alluring and pulsating drum performance, driven by and by a sense of trajectory variation, or by the warm sensation evoked by the aforementioned electrical characteristics and passionate and brutally fiery vocals, offering a visual representation of the painful field contained in each track.

“The Mother”, to be released by Wolves of Hades and Argento Records on March 28, invites the listener to an enchanting and intimate experience, a monument to introspective realms, a prayer of blood and fire carried with momentum.
