Το atmospheric black metal κουαρτέτο των GRIMA κυκλοφορεί το νέο single “Beyond the Dark Horizon” μαζί με επίσημο μουσικό βίντεο!

Λίγες μέρες πριν την κυκλοφορία του έκτου studio album των GRIMA και του ντεμπούτου τους στη Napalm Records “Nightside”, που κυκλοφορεί αυτή την Παρασκευή 28 Φεβρουαρίου 2025 από την Napalm Records, η atmpspheric black metal δύναμη της Σιβηρίας αποκαλύπτει το τρίτο της single “Beyond the Dark Horizon”.
Οι GRIMA σκιαγραφούν έναν έρημο, δέσμιο του λυκόφωτος κόσμου, όπου η θλίψη εκτείνεται ατελείωτα πέρα από τον ορίζοντα και ένα πανίσχυρο μαύρο ποτάμι χαράζει το μονοπάτι του μέσα από το βασίλειο των σκιών.
Η εξίσου όμορφη και θλιμμένη μελωδία καθρεφτίζει το αδυσώπητο πέρασμα του χρόνου, μεταφέροντας τον ακροατή μέσα από φασματικά τοπία όπου η μοίρα είναι δεμένη με το σκοτάδι, μια τέλεια μελωδία για εφιάλτες.

Μετά από αρκετές συναυλίες σε όλη την Ευρώπη, συμπεριλαμβανομένων μερικών με την ταχέως ανερχόμενη γερμανική death metal δύναμη Kanonenfieber, οι GRIMA πρόκειται να τιμήσουν το πνεύμα του Σιβηρικού Δάσους, την Taiga, για άλλη μια φορά στο “Nightside”.
Εκτός από τον αξέχαστο ήχο τους, η εμφάνιση της μπάντας, πανύψηλη σαν ζωντανά δέντρα με εκφοβιστικές σκαλιστές ξύλινες μάσκες και διακλαδισμένα δάχτυλα, προσθέτει άλλο ένα στοιχειωτικό στοιχείο στη βίαιη αλλά όμορφη παραγωγή τους.

“Τα παγωμένα νερά του πανίσχυρου ποταμού Yenisei, πάνω στον οποίο βρίσκεται η γενέτειρά μας, το Krasnoyarsk, παραμένουν παγωμένα ακόμα και στο τσουχτερό κρύο των -40°C.
Αυτός ο ποταμός φέρει μια αδάμαστη δύναμη, ρέει ασταμάτητα πέρα από τον ορίζοντα, εξαφανίζεται στο απέραντο άγνωστο. Είναι κάτι περισσότερο από ένα ρεύμα, είναι ένα σύμβολο αμείλικτης κίνησης, τυλιγμένο στα βάθη του σκότους.
Μέρα με τη μέρα, γεμίζει μια άβυσσο χωρίς τέλος.
Τα παγωμένα κύματα της ξεβράζονται πάνω από τις ακτές, εισχωρούν στις καρδιές εκείνων που κατοικούν κοντά, αφήνοντάς τους με μια λαχτάρα για ζεστασιά που δεν θα έρθει ποτέ.
Η ελπίδα πνίγεται στα βάθη της, και κάπου πέρα από τη μαύρη γραμμή του ορίζοντα, μια αόρατη μοίρα περιμένει».

Δείχνοντας την ποικιλία τους στο είδος του black metal στην επερχόμενη full-length “Nightside”, οι GRIMA ενσωματώνουν επίσης γρυλίσματα που μοιάζουν με death metal στην παράδοσή τους σε κομμάτια όπως το “Imcoming Death Premonition” και επιδεικνύουν εστιασμένη προσπάθεια και ικανότητα στις πιο σύντομες, προσιτές προσφορές του άλμπουμ.
Το “Curse of the Void” είναι τόσο ονειρικό και περίπλοκο όσο τα μεγάλα αδέρφια του, αλλά και τόσο ικανοποιητικό όσο ένας πιο άμεσος black metal ύμνος.
Με τη μυστηριώδη οπτική αύρα τους και τον ενδιαφέροντα ήχο τους εμπνευσμένο από την ανελέητη φύση γύρω τους, οι GRIMA συνεχίζουν να αποδεικνύουν ότι είναι μια μπάντα που δεν πρέπει να χάσετε στο είδος!

Η μίξη, το mastering και η καθοδήγηση του σκληρού, δυνατού αλλά και καθαρού ήχου του “Nightside” είναι ο έμπειρος black metal παραγωγός Vladimir Lehtinen.
Οι δύο κινητήριες δυνάμεις πίσω από τον μοναδικό ήχο της μπάντας, ο Vilhelm και ο Morbius, παραδίδουν και οι δύο διαφορετικές πτυχές των εντυπωσιακών, τεράστιων κιθαριστικών riffs, leads και μελωδιών της μπάντας, ενώ ο Vilhelm ανεβαίνει επίσης ως η φωνή του δάσους.
Οι προσκεκλημένοι μουσικοί Vlad (τύμπανα) και Serpentum (κιθάρες) συμμετέχουν επίσης τόσο στο στούντιο όσο και στη σκηνή.

Atmospheric Black Metal Four-Piece GRIMA Releases New Single “Beyond the Dark Horizon” and Official Music Video!

Just a few days until the release of GRIMA´s sixth studio album and Napalm Records debut Nightside – out this Friday, February 28, 2025 via Napalm Records – the Siberian atmospheric black metal force reveal their third single “Beyond the Dark Horizon”.
GRIMA sketches a desolate, twilight-bound world where sorrow stretches endlessly beyond the skyline, and a mighty black river carves its path through the kingdom of shadows.
The equally beautiful and sorrowful melody mirrors the inexorable passage of time, carrying the listener through spectral landscapes where fate is bound to darkness – a perfect melody for nightmares.

After several shows across Europe, including some with fast-rising German death metal force Kanonenfieber, GRIMA are set to honor the spirit of the Siberian Forest, Taiga, once more on Nightside.
In addition to their unforgettable sound, the band’s look – towering like living trees with intimidating carved wooden masks and branched fingers – adds another haunting element to their brutal yet beautiful output.

“The icy waters of the mighty Yenisei river, upon which our hometown of Krasnoyarsk stands, remain unfrozen even in the bitter cold of -40°C.
This river carries an untamed force, flowing endlessly beyond the horizon, vanishing into the vast unknown. It is more than a current—it is a symbol of relentless motion, shrouded in the depths of darkness.
Day after day, it fills an abyss without end.
Its frigid waves wash over the shores, seeping into the hearts of those who dwell nearby, leaving them with a yearning for warmth that will never come.
Hope drowns in its depths, and somewhere beyond the black line of the horizon, an unseen fate awaits.“

Showing their variety within the black metal genre on their upcoming full-length Nightside, GRIMA also incorporate death metal-like growls into their delivery on tracks like “Impending Death Premonition” and showcase focused effort and skill on the album’s more brief, accessible offerings.
“Curse of the Void” is as dreamy and complex as his big brothers, but also as satisfying as a more direct black metal anthem. With their mysterious visual aura and intriguing sound inspired by the unforgiving nature around them, GRIMA continue to prove themselves as an unmissable band to watch within the genre!

Mixing, mastering, and helming Nightside’s harsh, powerful but also clear-as-an-icicle sound is black metal-experienced producer Vladimir Lehtinen.
The two driving forces behind the band’s unique sound, Vilhelm and Morbius, both deliver different aspects of the band’s impactful, massive guitar riffs, leads and melodies, while Vilhelm also soars as the voice of the woods.
Guest musicians Vlad (drums) and Serpentum (guitars) also join the fold both in studio and on stage.

Following the album release, GRIMA will conquer various stages across Europe and the UK together with ULTAR, Houle & Antrisch in spring this year, kicking off April 25th at Ragnarök festival.
