Το φινλανδικό melodic death/folk metal συγκρότημα Warfarer κυκλοφόρησε την instrumental εκδοχή του ντεμπούτου concept album τους “A Tale Beyond the Pale”, το οποίο κυκλοφόρησε στα τέλη του 2024 μέσω της Inverse Records.

«Ήμασταν πάντα οπαδοί των instrumental κυκλοφοριών και ξέραμε ότι θέλαμε να κάνουμε το ίδιο με το ντεμπούτο άλμπουμ μας. Μερικοί λάτρεις προτιμούν τη μουσική χωρίς φωνητικά, ενώ άλλοι μπορεί να θέλουν να δημιουργήσουν τις δικές τους εκδόσεις καραόκε.
Όταν ο τραγουδιστής μας Kalle μάθαινε να τραγουδάει, αγωνιζόταν να βρει ποιοτικά instrumental metal κομμάτια για να εξασκηθεί.
Ήταν απογοητευτικό το πόσο σπάνια ήταν. Θέλαμε να το αλλάξουμε αυτό.
Με την κυκλοφορία αυτής της ορχηστρικής έκδοσης, ελπίζουμε να δώσουμε στους επίδοξους τραγουδιστές την ευκαιρία να τραγουδήσουν μαζί με τα αγαπημένα τους κομμάτια.
Ενθαρρύνουμε επίσης και άλλα συγκροτήματα να κάνουν το ίδιο και να διευκολύνουν την επόμενη γενιά metal τραγουδιστών.
Εν τω μεταξύ, η προ-παραγωγή για το επόμενο EP μας πλησιάζει στην ολοκλήρωσή της.

Γεννημένοι από τον παγετό της Βόρειας Φινλανδίας το 2013, οι Warfarer υφαίνουν ανατριχιαστικές ιστορίες για τους μεγάλους αγώνες μικρών ανθρώπων εν μέσω αρχαίων μύθων.
Το άγριο μείγμα μελωδικού death metal και συμφωνικών στοιχείων δαγκώνει σαν τον παγωμένο άνεμο και σε πιάνει σαν γρίπη.
Μετά την κυκλοφορία ενός EP το 2017 και την πλήρη μετενσάρκωση με νέα singles το 2018 και το 2020, η μπάντα είναι πιο ζωντανή από ποτέ, προετοιμαζόμενη για πόλεμο με βάναυσα νέα τραγούδια και ακονισμένα τσεκούρια.
Το concept album τους “A Tale Beyond the Pale”, που κυκλοφόρησε τον Νοέμβριο του 2024, εμβαθύνει στον φινλανδικό μύθο των Brotherslayer, ταξιδεύοντας τους ακροατές μέσα από τη ζήλια, τις δολοπλοκίες, τις επιδρομές των Βίκινγκς, τις μονομαχίες κάτω από το Βόρειο Σέλας και μια ενδεχόμενη κάθοδο στην ενοχή και την τρέλα.

“We’ve always been fans of instrumental releases and knew we wanted to do the same with our debut album. Some aficionados prefer music without vocals, while others might want to create their own karaoke versions.
Back when our singer Kalle was learning to sing, he struggled to find quality instrumental metal tracks to practice with. It was frustrating how rare they were. We wanted to change that. By releasing this instrumental edition, we hope to give aspiring vocalists the chance to sing along with their favorite tracks. We also encourage other bands to do the same and make it easier for the next generation of metal singers.
Meanwhile, pre-production for our next EP is nearing completion. This new release will delve deeper into the events and experiences that have shaped our Northern stories. Rousing choruses guaranteed!”

Born from the frost of Northern Finland in 2013, Warfarer weaves chilling tales of small people’s great struggles amidst ancient myths. Their ferocious blend of melodic death metal and symphonic elements bites like the freezing wind and grips you like the flu.
After releasing an EP in 2017 and undergoing a complete reincarnation with new singles in 2018 and 2020, the band is more alive than ever, preparing for war with brutal new songs and sharpened axes. Their concept album, ‘A Tale Beyond the Pale’, released in November 2024, delves into the Finnish myth of the Brotherslayer, taking listeners on a journey through jealousy, scheming, Viking raids, duels under the Northern Lights, and an eventual descent into guilt and madness.
