Οι Γερμανοί black metallers VERHEERER έδωσαν άλλη μια έντονη γεύση από το επερχόμενο τρίτο στούντιο άλμπουμ του συγκροτήματος, με τίτλο “Urgewalt”, που έχει προγραμματιστεί να κυκλοφορήσει στις 4 Απριλίου μέσω της Vendetta Records. Μετά την κυκλοφορία του πρώτου single “Totenvolk”, το βορειογερμανικό τετραμελές σχήμα συνεχίζει σήμερα με ένα μουσικό βίντεο για το “Hail Mary”!
Οι VERHEERER σχολιάζουν:
«Το “Hail Mary” είναι ένας όρος που χρησιμοποιείται για μια τελευταία προσπάθεια με ελάχιστες ή καθόλου πιθανότητες επιτυχίας.
Πολύ ταιριαστό για ένα τραγούδι για εκείνους που πέθαναν σαν βοοειδή για κάποιο κάθαρμα που ποτέ δεν θα μάθει καν το όνομά τους.
Για να ηρεμήσουμε τη φωνή των νεκρών, βάζουμε μετάλλια στα λείψανά τους και τους αποκαλούμε ήρωες…
Από τότε που κυκλοφόρησαν το ντεμπούτο τους EP «Archar» το 2015, οι VERHEERER έχουν γίνει βασικό όνομα στο γερμανικό metal underground.
Ο ήχος τους, κάπου μεταξύ μαύρου, heavy και death metal, μοιάζει με τις καταιγίδες της πατρίδας τους στις βόρειες γερμανικές ακτές: κυρίως ψυχρός και θυελλώδης, αλλά μερικές φορές επίσης απειλητικά αργός και επομένως ακόμη πιο καταστροφικός.
Το τετραμελές σχήμα αποφεύγει τα κοινά κλισέ, εξερευνώντας αντ’ αυτού τα βάθη της ανθρώπινης κατάστασης με ακλόνητη ειλικρίνεια.
Πάντα κάπως απομακρυσμένοι από τον απτό κόσμο μας, μελοποίησαν τις αμφιβολίες, τα βάσανα και τα σκοτεινά συναισθήματα που συνοδεύουν την ανθρωπότητα από την αρχή της ιστορίας.
Και ποιο θέμα διατρέχει ως κοινό νήμα όλους τους αιώνες, αν όχι η απόλυτη θέληση για καταστροφή, μέχρι το σημείο της αυτοκαταστροφής;
Το νέο άλμπουμ γράφτηκε και γράφτηκε με αυτή τη βασική ιδέα στο μυαλό και με τον Πρώτο Παγκόσμιο Πόλεμο, ο οποίος αποκάλυψε ένα νέο επίπεδο σκληρότητας και απανθρωποποίησης και ταυτόχρονα διαμόρφωσε τον κόσμο μας όσο καμία άλλη σύγκρουση μέχρι σήμερα, βρέθηκε επίσης ο καμβάς στον οποίο οι VERHEERER ζωγραφίζουν τις δικές τους εικόνες.
Για την απώλεια της ανθρωπότητας σε μια βιομηχανική μηχανή καταστροφής, αποπλάνησης και των μηχανισμών εξουσίας που καθιστούν το ακατανόητο δυνατό εξαρχής.

German black metallers VERHEERER have unleashed another intense taste of the band’s upcoming third studio album, entitled “Urgewalt”, scheduled to be released on April 4th via Vendetta Records.
Following the release of the first single “Totenvolk”, the northern German four-piece follows up today with a music video for “Hail Mary”!
VERHEERER comments: “‘Hail Mary’ is a term used for a last ditch effort with little to no chance of success. Quite fitting for a song about those who died like cattle for some bastard who will never even know their name.
To calm the gnawing voice of the dead, we put medals on their remains and call them heroes…”
Since unleashing their debut EP ‘Archar’ in 2015, VERHEERER has become a staple name in the German metal underground. Their sound, somewhere between black, heavy, and death metal, resembles the storms of their homeland on the northern german coast: primarily cold and tempestuous, but sometimes also threateningly slow and thus even more destructive.
The four-piece eschews common clichés, instead exploring the depths of the human condition with unflinching honesty. Always somewhat removed from our tangible world, they set to music the doubts, suffering and dark emotions that have accompanied mankind since the beginning of history.
And what theme runs as a common thread through all the centuries, if not the absolute will to destroy – to the point of self-destruction?
The new album was composed and written with this basic idea in mind and with the First World War, which revealed a new level of cruelty and dehumanization and at the same time shaped our world like no other conflict to this day, the canvas was also found on which VERHEERER paint their very own pictures.
Of the loss of humanity in an industrial machine of destruction, seduction and the mechanisms of power that make the incomprehensible possible in the first place.
