Οι KITTIE ανακοινώνουν ημερομηνίες περιοδείας στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο και την ΕΕ για τον Ιούνιο του 2025

Οι Undisputed Queens of metal KITTIE ανακοίνωσαν ημερομηνίες περιοδείας στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο και την ΕΕ, που θα πραγματοποιηθούν τον Ιούνιο του 2025 παράλληλα με την καλοκαιρινή τους πορεία στο φεστιβάλ.
Οι πολυαναμενόμενες συναυλίες θα είναι οι πρώτες του συγκροτήματος σε αυτή την πλευρά του κόσμου εδώ και πάνω από μια δεκαετία, παρέχοντας στους θαυμαστές την ευκαιρία να γιορτάσουν την επανένωσή τους το 2022 και την κυκλοφορία του περσινού άλμπουμ “Fire”, του πρώτου τους νέου άλμπουμ μετά από δεκατρία χρόνια.

Οι KITTIE χρησιμοποίησαν το 2024 για να εδραιώσουν την εμβληματική τους θέση, χωρίς ποτέ να τραβήξουν τις γροθιές τους ενώ εξερευνούσε με τόλμη τα βάθη της τέχνης της.
Η καμπάνια για το νέο άλμπουμ είδε το συγκρότημα να κυκλοφορεί μια σειρά από καταιγιστικά singles καθώς διεκδικούσαν ξανά τις μεταλλικές κορώνες τους.
Τα ‘Eyes Wide Open’, ‘We Are Shadows’, που ξεπέρασαν το Active Rock Top 40, τα ‘Vultures’, ‘One Foot In The Grave’ και το εκπληκτικό ομώνυμο κομμάτι του άλμπουμ ‘Fire’.

Έχοντας ακονίσει τα δόντια τους σε αποκλειστικές headline εμφανίσεις στις ΗΠΑ και τον Καναδά, ένα πραγματικά εμβληματικό set στο φεστιβάλ Sick New World στο Λας Βέγκας και περισσότερες ζωντανές εμφανίσεις στα παγκοσμίου φήμης φεστιβάλ των ΗΠΑ Welcome To Rockville και Sonic Temple, οι KITTIE έχουν καθιερωθεί ξανά ως ένα από τα καλύτερα live acts του metal.
Αυτή η σειρά πολύ ιδιαίτερων συναυλιών θα σηματοδοτήσει μια τεράστια στιγμή για το συγκρότημα, με τις τελευταίες εμφανίσεις τους στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο και την Ευρώπη να πραγματοποιούνται το 2010.

Όταν ανακαλύψατε τους Καναδούς bashers KITTIE, έχει άμεση επιρροή στο πώς τους βλέπετε.
Για όσους ήταν στο πλοίο από την αρχή με το άλμπουμ “Spit”, που κυκλοφόρησε το 1999, οι KITTIE θεωρήθηκαν μέρος του κινήματος nu-metal.
Πηγαίνοντας στα μεταγενέστερα άλμπουμ τους, “In The Black” (2009) και “I’ve Failed You” (2011), η μπάντα είχε εξελιχθεί σε κάτι πολύ πιο απειλητικό και θεωρήθηκε ως ένα σοβαρό full-on metal σύνολο. Ακριβώς όπως φαινόταν να κάνουν το βήμα τους έξι άλμπουμ στην καριέρα τους, ωστόσο, οι KITTIE εξαφανίστηκαν σιγά-σιγά από τη σκηνή στον απόηχο της περιοδείας για το I’ve Failed You.

Σε παραγωγή του Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Rush, Alice In Chains, Korn), οι KITTIE εμφανίστηκαν επιτέλους και κυκλοφόρησαν το πρώτο τους νέο single, «Eyes Wide Open» από την Sumerian Records.

KITTIE Announce Headline UK & EU Tour Dates For June 2025

Undisputed Queens of Metal KITTIE have announced headline UK and EU tour dates, taking place in June 2025 alongside their summer festival run. The highly anticipated shows will be the band’s first on this side of the world in over a decade, providing fans with an opportunity to celebrate their 2022 reunion and the release of last year’s critically acclaimed album Fire, their first new album in thirteen years.

KITTIE used 2024 to cement their iconic status, never pulling punches whilst boldly exploring the depths of their artistry. The campaign for the new album saw the band release a string of blistering singles as they reclaimed their metal crowns; ‘Eyes Wide Open’, ‘We Are Shadows’, which blazed its way through the Active Rock Top 40, ‘Vultures’, ‘One Foot In The Grave’ and the stunning album title track ‘Fire’. Upon its release in June, the record received widespread critical acclaim, with Kerrang! calling it “straight, relentless metal” and Metal Hammer declaring the band as having “completed one of modern metal’s great comebacks.”

Having sharpened their teeth on exclusive headline shows across the US and Canada, a truly iconic set at Sick New World festival in Las Vegas and more show-stealing live performances at globally renowned US festivals Welcome To Rockville and Sonic Temple, KITTIE have re-established themselves as one of metal’s finest live acts. This run of very special shows will mark a huge moment for the band, with their last UK and European appearances taking place back in 2010.

ABOUT KITTIE
When you discovered Canadian bashers KITTIE, has a direct influence on how you see them. For those that were on board from the beginning with the Spit album, released in 1999, KITTIE were considered part of the nu-metal movement.
Going into their later albums, In The Black (2009) and I’ve Failed You (2011), the band had evolved into something far more sinister, and were viewed as a serious full-on metal outfit.
Just as they seemed to be hitting their stride six albums into their career, however, KITTIE slowly disappeared from the scene in the wake of touring for I’ve Failed You. The silence was eventually dubbed an “indefinite hiatus” by the band, broken only by a one-off hometown show in London, Ontario in 2017, and the release of the documentary, Kittie: Origins/Evolutions, in 2018.

Until now…13 years later, that silence has been broken in earnest. Vocalist and guitarist, Morgan Lander, drummer Mercedes Lander, guitarist Tara McLeod and bassist Ivy Vujic maintain that KITTIE did not break up because it is an ingrained part of their identity.
The documentary and the one-off show in London were intended as a cap on everything, leaving a big question mark at what might happen down the road. Offers from promoters to do some shows in 2022 and 2023, including the sell-out, inaugural Sick New World Festival in Las Vegas, were enough to convince KITTIE to dust off their instruments, resulting in a renewed interest in the band and a label deal with Sumerian Records.

When they finally did gather as a unit, it was like putting on a pair of comfortable boots, with no need to break things in before getting down to business.
It turns out that thirteen years away has seen the band develop growth in songwriting, arranging, lyrical content and vocal melodies, creating something monstrous and volatile.
Produced by Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Rush, Alice In Chains, Korn), KITTIE have finally surfaced and unleashed their first new single, ‘Eyes Wide Open’ on Sumerian Records.
With renewed fury and unfathomable sonic brutality, the new era of KITTIE has begun.
