ADRIAN SMITH

On this day, February 27, 1957 (age 66), one of Heavy Metal’s most important guitarists was born. Adrian Frederick Smith, not only was a member of Iron Maiden’s best period (1980-1990), but returned for his second term (1999-), giving the band all his technical and creative genius. The second accolade he acquired, amid a period of controversy for both himself and his Iron Maiden friend and sidekick Bruce Dickinson, was his involvement in the latter’s personal scheme of the three best albums of his career. Its special and unique way of playing gives every release in which it participates, something more.
