American hard rock band XDB releases new single “When the Love Is Gone”

The melodic hard rock band XDB has released their highly anticipated new single “When the Love Is Gone” via MTS Records. The song was written by Robert Kane and performed by Rob Kane, Xander Demos, Brendan Callahan, Emily Stroup and Guy Cole, offering a dynamic combination of high-pitched melodies, powerful instruments and moving lyrics.

Rob Kane shares the origins of the song:
“It started with the intro. I had been listening to TNT’s album ‘My Religion’ and Tony Harnell’s Starbreaker project, and I wanted to write something guitar-based but that had keyboards-especially in the intro.
The initial riff led to the chorus, and when I came up with the phrase ‘When the Love Is Gone’, the rest of the song was written around that idea.”

Xander Demos adds about the evolution of the song:
“It’s a catchy song, and we’ve since rethought some of the ways we play it-especially with that big chorus. We play it in Drop-D, which gives it a nice combination between TNT and Savatage.”

Lyrically, “When the Love Is Gone” explores themes of lost love, regret and longing, wrapped in anthemic choruses and dynamic rhythms. Featuring impressive guitar work from Xander Demos, the track is an excellent example of the band’s distinctive blend of melody and technical skill.

XDB: Pushing the Boundaries of Melodic Metal
Vocalist Rob Kane specializes in writing, recording, mixing and producing melodic hard rock inspired by the 70s and 80s. He is also the lead singer of several bands, including XDB, Love In Chains, Apocalyptic Lovers and Love and Venom-a tribute to Scorpions and Whitesnake.

At the helm of XDB is Xander Demos, the distinguished metal guitarist from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, known for his virtuosic playing and melodic sensibility.
He has shared the stage with legendary bands such as Stryper, Adrenaline Mob, Symphony X and Lizzy Borden, and toured with Tim “Ripper” Owens and James Rivera.
His debut album, Guitarcadia-remembered by the late CJ Snare of Firehouse-projected his exceptional technique and talent for memorable melodies.

With a new lineup and an upcoming album Gods of Aliens, due out in 2025, XDB is poised to take their sound to new heights. “When the Love Is Gone” is just the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the band.
