It’s 1979 Ozzy Osbourne is past Black Sabbath. Friends of the band and fans of heavy metal are mourning this development.
There is a lot of frustration within the band and it wasn’t just Ozzy who was the problem.
Maybe you can’t imagine Black Sabbath going on without Ozzy.
Sharon Arden, later Sharon Osbourne, daughter of Black Sabbath manager Don Arden, suggests Dio as Ozzy Osbourne’s replacement.
Dio leaves Rainbow at the same time. And in June 1979 it is announced by Black Sabbath.
They start working on new material which is largely Dio inspired.
He helps the band lyrically as well as musically, breathing life into the creative quagmire they were in.
April 25, 1980 Heaven and Hell is released.
A historic album for Black Sabbath.
A masterpiece of composition, vocal abilities, guitar intelligence, production, moreover the name of Martin Birch, with whom they collaborate for the first time, testifies.
Definitely one of the best albums not only for Black Sabbath but also for all music lovers.
