Two decades after its original release, CANDLEMASS returns with a very special 20th Anniversary Edition of Candlemass (Polar Rough Mix), a raw and unfiltered take on one of the band’s most essential works. This version captures the intensity, weight, and atmosphere of the album in its most direct form – a true gem for long-time fans of Epic Doom Metal.
The reissue is presented on limited crystal clear/black/white splatter vinyl and on CD via Nuclear Blast Records on August 8th. The album also contains four demo versions of tracks. Preorder at the Nuclear Blast webshop.
The self-titled album features the return of Messiah Marcolin behind the mic. The Swedes originally recorded the songs without any vocalists before auditioning three singers, Tony Martin, Mats Levén and Doogie White. They were turned down when Marcolin rejoined the band.
