Jo: Introduce yourselves and tell us the story of the band!
-DISLOYAL: Welcome to all Metal War Radio readers/listeners. We are DISLOYAL, we play broad death metal and this is our story.

 

The band was formed in the beginning of 1997 in Ketrzyn (Poland). 

December In 1997 the band entered SELANI studio in Olsztyn, where under the guidance of sound-engineers and producers such as Doc (VADER) and Simon (ex-PROPHECY) recorded its debut called DESIRE;.

This move allows DISLOYAL to expand their activity and gives the opportunity to present themselves to a
wider audience. DESIRE has been very well-received in the underground scene and beyond it, as shown by the excellent reviews and a number of interviews in various metal music magazines, radio
presentations, participation on a variety of compilations, like: “Blood to come vol.8” and “Adrenalina cz.5” (THRASH`EM ALL), etc.

 

In one word, the aim, which the musicians put for such material has been achieved and the reaction of the audience was unexpectedly good.

 

In 1998 DISLOYAL sign the deal with Creative PRODUCTION from Lublin, which releases „Desire”. In the end of 1998 in the competition for the best band of the Warmia-Mazury region, DISLOYAL take a place alongside such bands as VADER and CHRIST AGONY.

 

In December 1998 DISLOYAL visit SELANI studio again and
record their debut LP, which is called PESSIMISTIC; and also shoot the first video for the song  “THE PAIN OF EXISTENCE”.

The whole record is kept in climates of technical and melodic death metal. 

 

The band signed the contract with DEMONIC RECORDS and in June 1999 set off on the first tour as a
support for the well-known Polish brutal death metal masters DEVILYN.

During this PAIN
DOMINATION TOUR`99 DISLOYAL present themselves to the big audience in the biggest cities in Poland, where they were really positively and warmly received.

 

In September 1999 DISLOYAL
performed at the second edition of METAL MONSTERS FESTIVAL. In June 2000 album „AVENGER”
appears in CD version, which contains two re-mastered previous releases: the demo DESIRE. and the album PESSIMISTIC as well as a few bonus tracks.

 

In May 2003 musicians entered HERTZ STUDIO and recorded the next album THE KINGDOM OF PLAGUE These are 10 tracks in the climate of brutal death metal and cover of IMMORTAL’s “Blashyrkh” as a bonus.

 

In the beginning of 2005 the band signed papers with the REDRUM label from Warsaw to release this CD.

DISLOYAL play numerous shows
and festivals in Poland and Belarus, among them a mini-tour with American old school death metal legend – MASTER.

 

Since March 2007 DISLOYAL’s new session bassist is ARTYOM SERDYUK from the
Belarusian technical death metal band DEATHBRINGER, session musician for such bands as:
ID:VISION, MEDEA, AMENTIA.

 

In June 2007 the recording session of the new material starts in the
band’s home studio and lasts until September 2007. It results in 9 brutal death metal tracks united under the name „PROPHECY”.

 

In the spring of 2008 DISLOYAL signed a contract with the German label
NO COLOURS RECORDS, which was followed by the European premiere of PROPHECY in April 2008.
After this release ARTYOM enters the main line-up as a guitarist, and starting from 2009 DISLOYAL take a break in the concert activity and ARTYOM and JARO begin working on the new material. Thus begins a completely new phase in the band’s history.

 

The musicians have a very thorough and careful
approach to the creation of the album and finish working on it only in the beginning of 2012, also because ARTYOM has to devote time to other bands, in which he performs: DEATHBRINGER, THY
DISEASE, AMENTIA, WOE UNTO ME. In the beginning of 2012 a new bass player also joined DISLOYAL –
KOLYA KISLYI – another musician from Belarus. In August 2012 the band entered MONROE SOUND STUDIO and recorded the most powerful, technical and significant album in the history of the band, which is called “GODLESS”.

 

It was released in summer 2015 via Japanese label GHASTLY MUSIC /
AMPUTATED VEIN RECORDS and was officially distributed by PLASTIC HEAD / CODE 7.

 

After its  release, the album was promoted in the media around the world. It also toured with the band
INSIDIUS. All this.

-Jo: ‘Godless” album, which came out in 2015, and 9 years later came your amazing album “Divine
Miasmata”…why this gap between albums?
–DISLOYAL: That’s right. Various factors contributed to this break, such as the recording phase of “Godless”,

production, mastering, looking for a publisher, then promotion. Let;s not forget that each of us has
other responsibilities and passions besides the band that occupies our time. Composing the material
and all the logistics of creating the “Divine Miasmata” album also took a lot of time, hence such a gap
between releases.

 

-Jo: “Divine Miasmata”. a very strong, atmospheric, brutal, sometimes melancholic album, you
composed all kinds of black metal in this album, what was the thought of that?
–DISLOYAL: DIVINE MIASMATA is exactly the album as you wrote, that is, totally powerful, brutal, but also in Some layers are calm, melancholic and even epic. This album represents our relentless passion and
evolution throughout the years. Since the band’s inception Disloyal has had many faces: melodic, brutal, technical, fast, slow.

This time we’ve combined everything and added even more. All kinds of death metal, elements of black metal and thrash – everything merges together in this creation.
“Divine Miasmata” is, without a doubt, our most complex, atmospheric, catchy, dark, groovy and progressive release to date and we believe our fans will feel all the dedication and energy we’ve put into it.

 

-Jo: Disloyal, what’s the story behind the band’s name?
–DISLOYAL: It was just a rather catchy and pleasant name, so that’s what we chose when setting up the band. It

doesn’t have any particularly hidden messages. Although it is easy to attach some specific ideologies to our name.

For example, we can be disloyal to religion, the system, authority or people.

Certainly
to any of the things mentioned we are Ha Ha Ha.

 

-Jo:  Who is responsible for the fantastic album cover artwork?
–DISLOYAL: Responsible for the front cover is Sasha Adamovich known as NephulaArt

(www.instagram.com/nephulaa), who works with tattoos for a living. Meanwhile, the artist Pachu
(www.facebook.com/pachudesign) is responsible for the graphic design of the entire album, and he did an amazing job.

 

-Jo: What goal do you want to accomplish for the band in the next few years?
–DISLOYAL: To play as many concerts as possible to promote DIVINE MIASMATA, to start working with some concert agency, to do something with which DISLOYAL could become a bigger band with regular tours, album releases, proper support from people who are in the industry. Become a band that is
simply more appreciated, because with that it varies. Well see what comes out of this.

Nowadays its quite difficult to achieve this on your own. Without the help of other people in the “industry”.

Just keep moving forward steadily.

 

-Jo: Who writes the songs or is it a full members job, and with what do you like to deal with lyrically?
–DISLOYAL: ARTYOM is responsible for all the compositions on the latest album.

from him, which we simply had to learn before entering the studio.

As for the lyrics on DIVINE
MIASMATA, they were written by Wojciech Mytnik (www.facebook.com/velesvarun), with whom we
have been working for a long time and we are very grateful to him.

 

-Jo: What is the most rewarding part of being in a band, and what is the most challenging?
–DISLOYAL: The most rewarding thing about being in a band is being able to create music, play concerts, after

which you have a response from fans who like your music and want to listen to it.

The biggest challenge, on the other hand, is to reconcile all these demanding things so that the band can continue to exist with everyday life and daily responsibilities.

 

-Jo: What’s the most valuable thing you’ve learned through your music and esotericism ?
– DISLOYAL:Thanks to the music I play, I have certainly learned greater sensitivity, patience, a lot of dedication

and respect for other people, but also to be more assertive and sometimes a total dick to people who are just such total dicks Ha ha ha ha.

 

-Jo: Are you working on anything new or planning something exciting that we can look forward to?
–DISLOYAL: Currently, we are not working on anything new. We want to focus on the concert promotion of
