RISE TO POWER
Memoriam is in some ways an all star band. Created in 2015 as a tribute to the late Bolt Thrower drummer Martin “Kiddie” Kearns.
The band, with former members from Bolt Thrower and Benediction, can’t possibly play anything other than technical death metal. The result justified their previous four albums and it is very easy to understand what is happening with their fifth effort in a row.
Amazingly played death metal with the best elements of both aforementioned forms, but without reliving the past and without repeating themselves. Rise to Power came to make us forget (difficult of course) that Bolt Thrower no longer exists but also to set our speakers on fire.
The guitars, rhythm section, vocals and production are sure to pull this off, with a 45-minute breath of eight tracks that sound effortless.
Rise to Power will rightfully stand among the genre’s top releases this year.
