Nightkill debut album cover "Survive the Night"
NightKill – “Survive The Night” album review

Its about time for the first album of the Athenians, Nightkill "Survive The Night" which will be released by ALONE Records on March 28th, 2025!

In “Survive The Night” Nightkill present us a work that sounds mature, tight and with a clear direction, with no room for doubt, especially in terms of technical and quality.

With the first listen two are the main features that emerge. The first is the excellent vocals and the stunning guitars, either on riffs or solos.
It goes without saying that with the first full listen, the other beautiful elements of the album, such as the full sound and the solid rhythm section, become apparent.

From “Survive The Night” come out sounds that will remind you of bands like Primal Fear, Iron Maiden etc., without this meaning that Nightkill don’t try to show off their own virtues and their own proposal in modern heavy metal.

The album starts with the title hit and the chorus is quickly memorized, with the rest of the album being just as strong, with lower tempos on “Lost Heaven”.
Third track “The Only One” with heavy guitars and excellent vocal range, amazing.
The ballad of the album comes in “Don’t Give Up”, a stunning track, which despite the fact that ballads are not my thing, Nightkill made me listen several times.
The next fifth track in order is “Devil’s Heart”. A galloping rhythm with a very nice riff, typical track. The sixth “Keeper Of Faith” is probably the most commanding song on the album, simply captivating. Next up “Never Surrender” is the most aggressive and fast paced track on the album, which showcases a different aspect of Nightkill.
And “Survive The Night” closes almost as it began, with a catchy hit, leaving us with a great sense of satisfaction.

It’s one of the few times I have trouble picking a favorite track, not only because all eight are equal, but they’re all songs that have something to contribute to an amazing debut album.

Generally Nightkill present us an album, which will keep us as its listeners for a long time. We will have fun, feel, get sold and enjoy music, which is a bit hard to find these days.
Nightkill speaks directly, without looking for innovations and diversity, with heavy metal executed with all the beautiful elements we have heard in the past years!
