It’s been a long time since the last time i enjoyed and album from Obituary. Not because it wasn’t quality or we expected something different but something was missing. I felt this “something by listening to the first two tracks of “Dying of Everything” album.
A paver that goes over and over, leveling any doubt that Obituary didn’t create an album just to fill their discography, but to give us 45 minutes of pure, unadulterated and leveling death metal. Dying of Everything is not far behind.
The group of five Americans perform the amazing compositions of the album with ease. My anxiety about whether it will manage to hold my interest until the end proved pointless because the album is really listenable over and over again.
Obituary had stated since 2017 that they were firmly back in the gulf but this solidifies the return to paths that only they know so well. All that remains for us is to follow them.
