PRESIDENT: The new anonymous masked band shaking up the Modern Metal scene with “In The Name Of The Father”

Metal scene now has a new anonymous, masked band. Meet PRESIDENT, the latest mysterious project that has ignited the imagination of heavy music fans.

Their name began sparking intense discussion earlier this year when it was announced that they would appear in a prominent slot at this summer’s Download Festival — on June 15th at the Dogtooth Stage. Their inclusion in the lineup, without any prior discography or information about the members, immediately fueled speculation. Some suggest it might be a side project of members from SLEEP TOKEN, while others see it as an entirely new form of “masked cult”, echoing the modern theatrical aesthetic that blends worshipful mystique with Metal experimentation.

Their first track, titled “In The Name Of The Father”, has already been released. It’s an Alt-Metal anthem with an Industrial edge, featuring dynamic guitars, rhythmic tension, and autotuned vocals—a fusion of Modern Metalcore and synth-driven rock.

The track is accompanied by a cryptic music video, further reinforcing the veil of mystery surrounding the band’s identity, as well as their ideological and artistic direction.

PRESIDENT said in a statement:

“Something has been stirring. A growing noise, a ripple through the republic of the underground.

We called. You listened.

Your curiosity, your questions, your conversation… We have witnessed it all.

Here, we make our first proclamation.

‘In The Name Of The Father‘

This is the first crack in the surface.

This is your PRESIDENT. We’ll be seeing you soon.

Godspeed”
