Season of Mist is an independent record label and distributor renowned for its diverse roster of metal and experimental artists. Founded in 1996 by Michael S. Berberian in Marseille, France, the label has since expanded its presence with offices in Philadelphia, USA, and Vaassen, Netherlands .
Initially, Season of Mist concentrated on extreme metal genres such as black metal, pagan metal, and death metal.
