The last goodbye to Ozzy Osbourne: Thousands gathered in Birmingham to honour the “Godfather of Heavy Metal”

On July 30th, thousands of people gathered in Birmingham, UK, to attend the official funeral procession of the legendary Ozzy Osbourne.

A significant stop on the procession was the Black Sabbath Bridge, a local monument dedicated to Osbourne and his iconic band, Black Sabbath.

The procession was livestreamed from multiple locations across the city, allowing those who couldn’t attend in person to witness the emotional moments.

Before the procession began, Bostin’ Brass, a local brass band, performed pieces by Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne, paying tribute to his musical legacy.

Ozzy’s wife, Sharon Osbourne, his children, and other family members were present at the memorial to pay their respects to the late patriarch.

The public expression of mourning will be followed by a private burial ceremony, held away from the spotlight.
