Wrath of Logarius: Παρουσιάζουν το νέο ντεμπούτο album τους.

Όποια σκελετική μορφή κι αν πάρουν, οι Wrath of Logarius δεν δεσμεύονται από τις αυστηρές παραδόσεις του black metal. Το ντεμπούτο άλμπουμ της μπάντας τους στέφει βασιλιάδες ενός νέου βασιλείου για το underground: του άμορφου black metal.

Το Crown of Mortis κυκλοφορεί αυτή την Παρασκευή 4 Απριλίου στο Season of Mist, αλλά μπορείτε να ακούσετε και τα εννέα απεριόριστα τραγούδια σήμερα ακούγοντας ολόκληρη τη ροή του άλμπουμ στο κανάλι Season of Mist στο YouTube.

Αν και προέρχονται από τα ομιχλώδη δάση της Βόρειας Καλιφόρνιας, είναι ταιριαστό ότι οι ψίθυροι των Wrath of Logarius ξεκίνησαν μεταξύ του ψηφιακού βασιλείου.
Μετά από όλα το συγκρότημα πήρε το όνομά του από έναν διαβόητα δύσκολο πλοίαρχο μπουντρουμιών βιντεοπαιχνιδιών.

Το “Crown of Mortis” ακολουθεί τις άμεσες συνέπειες της ιογενούς εξαγοράς του Wrath of Logarius.
Κάθε τραγούδι στριφογυρίζει σε μια μοναδικά τρομακτική ιστορία που εξυπηρετεί τη μεγαλύτερη πλοκή του καταραμένου βασιλιά του.
Το “Unfathomable” ανοίγει το άλμπουμ σαν παγιδευμένο σε μια άλλη εφιαλτική διάσταση, αν και η δυσοίωνη μετάδοση του αφηγητή του δεν μπορεί να σταματήσει το lead single “Keeper of the Spectral Legion” από το να στρώσει το κόκκινο χαλί του αίματος για έναν στρατό απέθαντων.

“Ancient – Power – Cosmic – Legion», γρυλίζει ο Noctifer κατά τη διάρκεια του δυνατού ρεφρέν του τραγουδιού, που συνθλίβει τα κόκαλα, πριν τα σπλάχνα του ανέβουν σε αγωνία που ξύνεται στο λαιμό.

Όπως και ο διαβόητος συνονόματός τους, είναι αδύνατο να προβλέψουμε με ποιον τρόπο θα επιτεθούν οι Wrath of Logarius στη συνέχεια στο “Crown of Mortis”.
Από το μολυσματικό EP τους, αυτά τα σκελετικά wraiths έχουν ισοπεδωθεί σε ωμή δύναμη.
Το “Long Dead the King” βαδίζει στον καταιγιστικό ρυθμό που ορίζουν οι τιμωρητικά ακριβείς εκρήξεις του Λόρδου Μάρκο. Strega axeman Urath και Vastator boobytrap “Lurker’s Tomb” με τσοκ που σέρνουν τις αρθρώσεις και λαβύρινθο που μοιάζει με τεμαχισμό.

Αλλά το πρώτο full length των Wrath of Logarius αναβαθμίζει επίσης την ανατριχιαστική αίσθηση της ατμόσφαιρας με ανατριχιαστική δεξιοτεχνία.
Κάτω από το γλιστερό ποδοπάτημα της «Αιθέριας Ομίχλης» αναδύεται ο Βίλχελμ των Grima με φρεσκοσάπια γρυλίσματα.
Το “Of the Void” κάνει κύκλους μέσα από τις πολλές φεγγαρόλουστες φάσεις του black metal.
Κλασικό τρέμολο μαζεύοντας μαστίγια σαν ουρλιαχτό ανέμου, μόνο για να ανέβει σε ένα σόλο που στάζει από απελπισία. “Περιτριγυρισμένο από την ομίχλη του κενού”, ουρλιάζει ο Noctifer καθώς ο τρόμος που προκαλεί το άλμπουμ ανεβαίνει στο αστρικό επίπεδο. «Ο φόβος υποχωρεί προς το παρόν αναπνέω ξανά».

Στο “Crown of Mortis”, οι Wrath of Logarius λυγίζουν το black metal για να ταιριάξουν στον άμορφο κανόνα τους.

Οι Wrath of Logarius στρώνουν το κόκκινο χαλί για το Crown of Mortis με ένα ειδικό σόου κυκλοφορίας δίσκων στην πατρίδα τους. Μαζί τους θα είναι και οι Post Heaven, Lost to the Void και Vesseles.
