Οι Έλληνες atmospheric black metallers LUCIFER’S CHILD παρουσιάζουν το lyric video για το νέο single “As Bestas”, από το αναμενόμενο τρίτο studio album του συγκροτήματος “The Illuminant”, που θα κυκλοφορήσει στις 28 Μαρτίου από την Agonia Records.

Μετά από επτά χρόνια λήθαργου στον οποίο έπεσαν οι LUCIFER’S CHILD μετά τον τελευταίο ολοκληρωμένο δίσκο τους “The Order”, ένας λήθαργος καλυμμένος με σκιά και σιωπή, το ελληνικό black metal κουαρτέτο ξυπνά ξανά τη φωτιά που ποτέ δεν έπαψε να καίει ή να εκπλήσσει.
Σε μια επανάληψη που μοιάζει με φοίνικα, η ομάδα διοχετεύει τα ύψη του εσωτερικού συλλογισμού της και τα βάθη της οδυνηρής απελπισίας της στο “The Illuminant”.
Το άλμπουμ σηματοδοτεί μια βαθιά εξέλιξη στον ήχο των LUCIFER’s CHILD, φιλοδοξώντας σε «ένα ταξίδι βαθύτερα στην άβυσσο και τα συναισθήματα, όπου το ακραίο συναντά το μελωδικό και το αόρατο γίνεται φανερό», επισημαίνει ο συνιδρυτής/κιθαρίστας George Emmanuel (πρώην Rotting Christ, πρώην Chaostar, Necromantia).
«Το νέο μας άλμπουμ αντιπροσωπεύει μια τολμηρή εξέλιξη στον ήχο μας.
Είναι ένα έντονο ταξίδι που συνδυάζει το σκοτάδι, το συναίσθημα και τη μελωδία.
Με οκτώ βλάσφημα κομμάτια, είναι ταυτόχρονα ένας απολογισμός και μια αποκάλυψη, μια φωτιά που καταναλώνει αλλά και ανανεώνει. Αυτή είναι η αποκάλυψή μας και ανυπομονούμε να μοιραστούμε την έντασή της σε όλες τις σκηνές».
Η παραγωγή, η μίξη και το mastering του “The Illumimnant” έγινε από τον George Emmanuel στο Pentagram Studio (Demonical, Septicflesh, Necromantia) με εξαίρεση τα τύμπανα που ηχογραφήθηκαν στα Pale Blue Dot Studios.
Το εξώφυλλο του άλμπουμ σχεδιάστηκε στο χέρι από τον Daniele Valeriani (Dark Funeral, Mayhem).
Οι LUCIFER’S CHILD δημιουργήθηκαν το 2013 στην Αθήνα από τον Γιώργο Εμμανουήλ και τον μπασίστα Στάθη Ριντή (πρώην Nightfall).
Το ντουέτο γρήγορα επεκτάθηκε σε κουαρτέτο, με τον τραγουδιστή Marios Dupont (Karma Violens) και τον ντράμερ Nick Vell (Chaostar), και κυκλοφόρησε το ντεμπούτο άλμπουμ “The Wiccan” το 2015.
Ενθαρρυμένοι από την υποδοχή του άλμπουμ, η οποία περιελάμβανε μια σειρά από ημερομηνίες φεστιβάλ (συμπεριλαμβανομένων των Inferno Festival, Blastfest και Incineration Festival), παρέδωσαν έναν επόμενο δίσκο με τίτλο “The Order” (2018). Το άλμπουμ τόνισε διαδοχικά την κλασική black metal προσέγγιση της μπάντας, βαριά σε ατμόσφαιρα και γεμάτη σκοτεινή αισθητική, ακόμα περισσότερο τονισμένη από το εξώφυλλο του Daniele Valeriani.
Το μουσικό βίντεο για το ομώνυμο τραγούδι του άλμπουμ έφτασε πάνω από 150 χιλιάδες streams στο YoutTube και πάνω από 500 χιλιάδες στο Spotify.
Η σύγκρουση του βραζιλιάνικου αποκρυφισμού και της ελληνικής βλασφημίας ακολουθεί καταιγιστικές ηχητικές εντυπώσεις στο “Under Statn’s Wrath”, την τελευταία παραγωγή του συγκροτήματος, που ηχογραφήθηκε σε συνεργασία με τους Mystifier και κυκλοφόρησε το 2022.
Ανέπαφο από την ίδρυσή του, το line-up των LUCIFER’S CHILD καλωσορίζει έναν νέο μπασίστα στο επερχόμενο άλμπουμ “The Illuminant”, τον Κώστα Γερόχρηστο.

After a seven year slumber which LUCIFER’S CHILD slipped into following its last full-length record “The Order” – a slumber veiled in shadow and silence – the Greek black metal quartet reawakens the fire which never fully ceased to burn or amaze. In a phoenix-like reprise, the group channels the heights of its esoteric ponder and the depths of its harrowing despair into “The Illuminant”.
The album marks a profound evolution in LUCIFER’s CHILD sound, aspiring to “a journey deeper into the abyss and the emotions, where the extreme meets the melodic, and the unseen becomes manifest,” points out co-founder/guitarist George Emmanuel (ex-Rotting Christ, ex-Chaostar, Necromantia).
“Our new album represents a bold evolution in our sound. It is an intense journey that blends the dark, the emotion, and the melody.
With eight blasphemous tracks, it is both a reckoning and a revelation, a fire that consumes but also renews. This is our revelation, and we can’t wait to share its intensity across the stages.”
“The Illumimnant” was produced, mixed and mastered by George Emmanuel at Pentagram Studio (Demonical, Septicflesh, Necromantia) with the exception of drums which were recorded at Pale Blue Dot Studios. The album’s cover artwork was hand-drawn by Daniele Valeriani (Dark Funeral, Mayhem).
LUCIFER’S CHILD was formed in 2013 in Athens (Greece) by said George Emmanuel and bassist Stathis Ridis (ex-Nightfall). The duo quickly expanded into a quartet, with vocalist Marios Dupont (Karma Violens) and drummer Nick Vell (Chaostar), and released the debut album “The Wiccan” in 2015.
Encouraged by the album’s reception, which entailed a string of festival dates (inc. Inferno Festival, Blastfest and Incineration Festival), they delivered a follow-up record titled “The Order” (2018).
The album successively emphasized the band’s classic black metal approach, heavy on atmosphere and replete with dark aesthetics, all the more highlighted by Daniele Valeriani’s cover artwork.
The music video for the album’s title song hit over 150k streams on YoutTube and over 500k on Spotify.
The collision of Brazilian occultism & Hellenic blasphemy ensues blistering sonic impressions on “Under Statn’s Wrath” – the band’s last output, recorded in alliance with Mystifier and released in 2022.
