ATROCITY

OKKULT III

When in 1985 Alexander Krull created Instigator, which in 1988 he renamed Atrocity, he wanted them to sound like a modern death metal band of the time. Later in the course of the years, after experimentation, he came to play something like electro gothic rock. With albums almost out of heavy metal, albums with meaningless pop covers, unfortunately they lost a large part of the metal audience that followed them.We arrive in 2013 where a new chapter opens for Atrocity, with the Okkult trilogy. In the first two albums of the trilogy, Atrocity elements from all periods remain, with most coming from the metal side.

Coming to 2023 with the new and final album of the trilogy “Okkult III” Atrocity sound more metal than ever. The death metal they play is thick, heavy and modern. Heavy guitars with clear melodies, heavy death atmosphere in the compositions and vocals and in general a well-connected album in all respects. The production is strong and flawless according to what Alexander Krull is used to in all his work with all bands.

In the years 2023, I don’t know what Atrocity could expect from the public or the public from Atrocity, especially the latter probably nothing, but it is an opportunity to spend some time with well-written death metal.
