Next month, Norwegian black metal act 1349 will release their live album “Winter Mass” via Black Metal Promotion. It’s promised to be a faithful recording of the band’s sound and fury at each of their shows, though this particular show took place back in November 2021 in Oslo’s Parkteatret.
1349 frontman Ravn said about the song: “Striding The Chasm’ is an emblematic track. It maintains the 1349 signature ferocity, but also adds a complexity in its approach and stands out as the most thrash-infused pinnacle in our catalog. It is the track that challenges the listener to confront their own dark and primal nature. Performing this track live was a revelation to me as the imminent connection between the song and audience became an instant hit and I feel the track’s potential is enhanced even more now within a live setting, within our Live Ritual…within our ‘Winter Mass’.”
