Athens-based CALYCES will take to the stage at Piraeus Club Academy on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, on the occasion of their second European tour following the release of their second full-length album, “Fleshy Waves of Probability.”
They have just released the video clip for “Boneshatter,” the second track from their album, which they are preparing to bring to the stage.
In 2025, the heavy prog quartet presented one of the most talked-about prog metal albums of the year, evolving their complex and emotionally charged sound, which moves between progressive metal, sludge, and ’70s prog rock, with an emphasis on songwriting and sonic detail.
Gaining recognition from international media and constantly expanding their audience, CALYCES are in the most active concert phase of their career, now bringing all their intensity and energy of their multi-layered compositions on stage.
Joining them are BLAME KANDINSKY, who, after 13 years of existence, can trace their journey alongside the evolution of experimental mathcore/death metal/post-hardcore, as it took shape in Europe and America.
From their introductory EP “Pink Noise Motel” in 2014, to the live recording of their first LP “Spotting Elegance In Chaos” in 2016, then to the more introspective “Eclectic Ruiner” and their extensive number of live performances in Greece and Europe, the Athenian band is considered one of the most remarkable acts in the genre.
The line-up is completed by GRIM LOVE, an up-and-coming metalcore/alternative metal band from Athens, known for their dynamic and explosive sound, which combines elements of metal, hardcore, and punk. The band members have extensive experience in the Greek underground scene, having played in bands such as Furor, The Devil Made Me Do It, and Beyond Perception.
In 2025, they released their first album, “Mataroa,” which received positive reviews for its songwriting and production, highlighting the band’s character and dynamics within the contemporary metalcore scene.
