CURRENTS make a comeback with first new single since 2023 – “It Only Gets Darker” now available

On July 18th, 2025- Connecticut Metalcore outfit CURRENTS has just unveiled the official music video for their powerful new single, “It Only Gets Darker”. This track marks the band’s first release since their critically acclaimed 2023 album “The Death We Seek”, and offers a dark, emotionally charged glimpse into the next chapter of their music careers.

“Embrace Darkness. Accept Fate. Surrender Yourself. And Feed the Flame. ‘It Only Gets Darker’ is now yours”, says singer Brian Wille.

Produced by guitarist Chris Wiseman, “It Only Gets Darker” could signal the start of a new creative chapter for the band as they continue building momentum on the road and in the studio.

The band currently comprises of members Brian Wille on vocals, guitarists Ryan Castaldi and Chris Wiseman, bassist and backing vocalist Christian Pulgarin, and drummer Matt Young.

The timing of the release aligns with the band’s upcoming North American tour, where they’ll be supporting WE CΑME AS ROMANS on the Bad Luck tour. Also on the lineup are AFTER THE BURIAL and Johnny Booth, with dates running from July 22nd in Toronto to August 23rd in Detroit.
