Last week, EVANESCENCE’s Amy Lee, SPIRITBOX’s Courtney LaPlante, and Poppy posted a joint photo that hinted at a powerhouse collaboration. Yesterday, they released that song, “End of You,” which arrives with an elaborate, fantasy-style video and already has over 620.000 views in youtube.
As expected, it’s a massive song, blending melodic and screamed vocals, an intoxicating chorus, and a powerful statement that the end of a relationship is the beginning of a new life.
As for each of their bands, EVANESCENCE kick off some shows later this month, including opening for MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE’s “Long Live The Black Parade” in Tampa. Poppy continues her “They’re All Around Us” tour and SPIRITBOX play “Louder Than Life” on Sept. 19 and then commence the second part of their “Tsunami Sea” headliner with PERIPHERY and HONEY REVENGE in November.
