Swedish Death Metal juggernaut FIMBUL WINTER will make their official debut this fall with the release of the five-track EP “What Once Was”, due out November 14, 2025.
Formed by former AMON AMARTH founding members Anders Biazzi (formerly Anders Hansson) and Niko Kaukinen, alongside longtime AMON AMARTH drummer Fredrik Andersson and Clint Williams (MUNITIONS) on vocals, FIMBUL WINTER represents unfinished business and a renewed dedication to the roots of Swedish melodic death metal. Tobias Cristiansson (NECROPHOBIC, GRAVE, DISMEMBER) provides session bass.
“FIMBUL WINTER is not a side project or a nostalgia trip,” the band declares. “It’s about carrying the torch of Swedish Death Metal forward — cold, fierce, and uncompromising.”
“What Once Was” will be released on November 14, 2025 via Profound Lore Records. Soon, they will release also their first single.
