HERETOIR and HAVUKRUUNU, two leading figures of the post-black / melodic metal scene, are coming to Greece for two unique concerts in Athens and Thessaloniki, in which they combine the melancholy, raw power and atmospherics that established them as two of the most special bands of modern European metal.
Founded in 2006, HERETOIR quickly created a unique sound, in which the melodic and progressive side of death metal coexist with the emotional intensity and atmosphere of black metal and post rock. Their music is a journey through nostalgia, sadness and hope, a melancholic but redemptive mirror of the nature of modern man.
With four full-length albums and numerous EPs to their credit, HERETOIR have toured extensively in Europe and Latin America, while sharing the stage with bands such as Alcest, Katatonia, Agalloch, Enslaved, Der Weg einer Freiheit, Les Discrets and Ghost Bath.
2025 saw them release their new album entitled “Solastalgia”, a work that continues the band’s recognizable style, with the addition of neo-folk and electronic elements, and evident influences from bands such as Wardruna and Ulver. In this new effort, HERETOIR explores the concepts of loss, ecological destruction and nostalgia for a world that is leaving, with the talented frontman and singer David Conrad at the forefront, who masterfully combines the clear vocals with the screams and the elaborate songwriting of the group, with the evocative, multi-layered production of their albums.
In something more than concerts, closer to audiovisual rituals of emotional catharsis, HERETOIR transform their electric power and their dark atmosphere into a call to introspection, without return. Light and darkness will become one, in two evenings that are expected to be captivating and -why not- deeply moving.
Finnish band HAVUKRUUNU bring their own impressive combination of pagan and black metal to the stage, drawing inspiration from northern mythology, history and nature. With an emphasis on epic riffs and a ritualistic atmosphere, they are the ideal complement to two nights that are expected to be intense and charged.
