INNER SHRINE unveil new EP “Sanguis Vitae”

INNER SHRINE return to the “Fallen Beauty” era with “Sanguis Vitae”, a short-form EP built around new versions and structural reworks of one of the album’s most recognisable pieces. A bonus track is included, paired with an official video

INNER SHRINE have released “Sanguis Vitae”, an EP that takes one of the defining tracks from their 2000 release “Fallen Beauty” and pulls it apart in a few different directions. More than a simple “new mix”, the band treat the original as raw material, reshaping it through alternate takes, reinterpretations and dynamic shifts that move between heavier, solemn passages and more fragile, introspective moments.

The EP’s title translates as “the blood of life”, and the band frame the release around themes of sacrifice, transformation and memory. Visually, the artwork leans into Inner Shrine’s gothic, decadent identity, centred on a winged feminine figure in chains – suspended between shadow and something closer to transcendence. The tracklist also includes a bonus piece that expands the release beyond the central concept and adds one more angle to the band’s current direction.
