Athens-based melodic metalcore newcomers NOVELTY continue to build momentum with the release of their latest single and visualizer video, “Alive Enough to Die”, following their debut track “Darkest Days”.
The band said about the song:
“Alive Enough to Die” explores the concept of inner death and the gradual erosion of identity, hope, and control. It captures the slow collapse of the self within its own darkness — where one becomes both the victim and the architect of their own downfall. It portrays a struggle with the mind itself, while remaining painfully aware of one’s role in this descent.
The visualizer video and accompanying artwork were created by October Midnight, complementing the track’s introspective and somber tone. Production, recording, and mixing were handled by Marios Adamopoulos, with additional audio editing by Javier Torres, while mastering was completed by Christoph Wieczorek (Sawdust Recordings).
Formed in 2022, NOVELTY have steadily gained traction through a combination of studio releases and energetic live performances. Following the release of their first two singles in 2026, the band is currently working on their debut full-length album, expected later this year, which will feature nine original tracks.
With “Alive Enough to Die”, NOVELTY further establish themselves as a promising act within Greece’s evolving metalcore landscape.
