Metalwar: The mini tour in May will pass through Ioannina, Kozani and Volos. What made you choose these cities for this series of shows?
Piranha: Kozani and Ioannina were cities we wanted to visit during our previous tour in Northern Greece, but we didn’t manage to make it back then. So we decided to do it now that we have the opportunity again. As for Volos, it will be the second time we play there. We chose it because the first time we had an amazing time and we wanted to relive that experience.
Metalwar: The concerts will take place together with Deathcraeft and Toxic Pub. How did this collaboration come about and what do you expect from these stage partnerships?
Piranha: We’ve mentioned many times that during our tours and live shows we really enjoy making new friends and getting to know new bands. We believe that with Deathcraeft and Toxic Pub we’ll have a great time because our musical styles match well together.
Metalwar: The setlist will cover songs from 1987 up to today. How difficult is it to choose songs from such a long career?
Piranha: It’s always difficult to choose songs for our setlist, which lasts about one hour, but this time I think we managed to start from the distant ’90s and reach up to brand-new unreleased songs from today.
Metalwar: Is there an older Piranha song that you’re especially looking forward to playing on this mini tour?
Piranha: Cancer is a favorite song that we always look forward to playing live on stage.
Metalwar: What can fans expect from the live shows of the tour? Will there be surprises or different versions of songs?
Piranha: We only have one thing to say… come and you won’t miss out—just aggressive, raw metal energy.
Metalwar: How do you see the audience response to Greek extreme metal in recent years, especially in cities outside Athens and Thessaloniki?
Piranha: What we’ve experienced in recent years regarding the audience response, especially in cities outside Athens and Thessaloniki, is beyond our expectations. The crowd is so enthusiastic and has such a great time that it ends up feeling like one big party.
Metalwar: Are there differences in the audience energy between cities like Ioannina, Kozani and Volos?
Piranha: Every city we visit has its own energy and vibe, but we believe they all share one thing in common… their thirst for metal!
Metalwar: Considering that the band started in 1987, how does it feel to continue touring and presenting your sound to new generations of metalheads?
Piranha: We feel wonderful and refreshed that even at the age of 55 we can still play the music we love with the same strength and energy we had when we were kids… and we hope to keep doing it for a long time.
Metalwar: Is there a possibility that this mini tour could expand to other cities or even abroad?
Piranha: After our tour in May, we are thinking about preparing another one starting in September that will include some cities in Greece as well as abroad. Our last shows outside Greece were in Dubai and Cyprus.
Metalwar: What message would you like to send to the fans who will come to see you at the live shows in May?
Piranha: Get ready for the ultimate METAL CHAOS!
