April 2, 1993. It’s been 30 years since a masterpiece record, but one that hides a great burden, as it is the last album for Criss Oliva, as six months later on October 17, 1993, a drunk driver takes his life.
“Edge of Thorns” is among the top albums of the band, but also of the music it serves.
Zak Stevens will “take” the microphone from Jon Oliva and decorate the compositions with his amazing voice.
Jon Oliva will be on piano, compositions and production.
The tracks, “All That I Bleed” and “Miles Away”, are the last to be written together by Jon Oliva, Criss Oliva and producer Paul O’Neill.
The woman in the cover image is Dawn Oliva, wife of Criss Oliva.
