Swedish gothic rock band SCHEITAN has released a new video for the track, “Every Little Thing”, taken from their new album “Wine For a Tormented Soul”, which was released in December last year via The Circle Music.
SCHEITAN’s Pierre Tornkvist said:
“It´s a very dark track, lyrically it speaks of life being totally pointless in the end, as absolutely every little thing around us withers and dies. Visually, I tried to find something that could match this, the children playing with a total unawareness of the truth of the world is truly matching the lyrical concept of the song, together with the devil lurking in the shadows…”
The video and album release follows the band’s live slot on Swedish state-controlled radio P4. Their song “A Kiss of Death” was played on P4 throughout the week of December 15–19, with the band performing it live at the radio studio later on December 19th.
“Wine For a Tormented Soul” features eight tracks, including the band’s previously released singles “Döden är helt underbar” (YouTube), “Carry Me Home” (Spotify, YouTube), “Heaven Tonight” (Spotify, YouTube), “Love n Death” (Spotify, YouTube) and “A Kiss of Death” (YouTube).
Pierre shared the inspiration behind the album,
“The title ‘Wine For a Tormented Soul’ comes from what music can mean to people who run into hardship in life. Music is my therapy, it is my best friend in dark times. The last 10 years have been a bumpy road with one of my best friends passing away too early as well as my father leaving us from one day to another. Some of the songs have been presented to people as singles, with the upcoming album you can hear them in the context of an album, and also listen to them in a non-digital format such as vinyl which I think is the best way to do it. We will try to come out and play these new songs for you as much as we can.”
