TYKETTO shares music video for title track of “Closer To The Sun” album

Hard-rocking quintet TYKETTO will release its sixth studio album, “Closer To The Sun”, on March 20. The band, consisting of Danny Vaughn (vocals), Harry Scott Elliott (guitar), Ged Rylands (keyboards), Chris Childs (bass) and Johnny Dee (drums), will make the LP available via British rock specialist label Silver Lining Music.

Vaughn comments about the track:

‘Closer To The Sun’ is a bit of a fantasy piece, really. I was thinking about Kate Hudson’s character in the film ‘Almost Famous’. I think we have all known someone like that growing up, someone that laughs at life, lives just a little outside of the norm and sometimes seems to float through the world. What does she know that I don’t know? The singer has caught a glimpse of this woman and has fallen deeply in love, despite knowing almost nothing about her. ‘What if I’m missing something in my own life? What if?’

“Closer To The Sun” was recorded across multiple studios in Europe, including Flip Flop Studios and the legendary Rockfield Studios in Wales.

In support of the album’s release, TYKETTO has already announced a string of dates for 2026.
