New Jersey thrashers WHIPLASH have announced that their long-awaited new album “Thrashquake” will first be available only on their upcoming European tour with NAPALM DEATH, which starts next week in Germany, with a worldwide release date set for March 6th, 2026. “Thrashquake” will be the first full-length studio album from WHIPLASH in 17 years, since 2009’s “Unborn Again”. More info in due time.
WHIPLASH exploded onto the U.S. metal scene in 1984, branding the East Coast with its original thrash sound. The debut album, “Power And Pain,” claims its place in the halls of thrash metal and they still continue to bring old school thrash to a new generation of metalheads.
