Σήμερα θα ταξιδέψουμε στο Τενεσί της Αμερικής που εκτός από το να πετάνε φελλους σε βαρέλια μέχρι να ωριμάσει το ουίσκι, έχουν και κάτι απίθανος τύπους τους Whitechapel που κυκλοφόρησαν τον δέκατο δίσκο τους εν ονόματι “Hymns In Dissonance”!!!!
Μια σύντομη ιστορία τους είναι ότι ξεκίνησαν το 2006 αλλά δεν άργησε να τους εντάξει στο δυναμικό τους ή metal blade records, να εκτοξευθούν και να γίνουν είδωλα στην deathcore σκηνή!
Οι επιρροές τους Cannibal Corpse, Dying Fetus, Morbid Angel, Napalm Death κλπ , θέλετε κι άλλα????
Σε μια πρόσφατη συνέντευξη του Phil μας είπε ότι θέλει να δείξει με τον επικείμενο δίσκο τι είναι πραγματικά deathcore, αλλά ας περάσουμε στο κυρίως κομμάτι!
“Hymns of dissonance” ένα γνήσιο deathcore album που δεν θα αργήσει στο άκουσμα του πρώτου κομματιού “Prisoner 666” να καταλάβετε ότι έρχεται κόλαση!
Ο Phil παραδίδει μαθήματα φωνητικών με πολλές εναλλαγές και η συνέχεια είναι εξίσου δυνατή με όλα τα κομμάτια να είναι καταιγισμός!
Περίμενα να ακούσω πότε θα σηκώσουν το πόδι από το γκάζι αλλά μάταια!
Σε κάποια κομμάτια δε, “The Abysmal Gospel”, “Baldam”, “Mammoth God”, κυριαρχούν τα μαγευτικά baking vocals που αυξάνουν την εμπειρία του ακούσματος του δίσκου.
Στα τεχνικά αν και δεν είμαι ειδικός, στο άκουσμα μόνο κατάλαβα ότι είναι αψεγάδιαστο!
Γενικά λοιπόν μιλάμε για μια δισκάρα με @@ που σε συνέχεια της ιστορίας τους είναι ακόμα ένα μάθημα deathcore μουσικής. Θα βάλω καθαρό 9 γιατί πριν το άκουσμα του “Hymns in dissonance” άκουσα τους δίσκους τους “Kin”, “This Is Exile” και με επηρέασαν. Καλή ακρόαση λοιπόν!

In a recent interview Phil told us that he wants to show with the upcoming album what deathcore really is, but let’s get to the main part.
Hymns of dissonance a genuine deathcore album that it won’t take long after listening to the first track prisoner 666 to realize that hell is coming!
Phil delivers vocal lessons with lots of variations and the follow up is just as strong with all the tracks being a storm!
I was waiting to hear will they ever take their foot off the gas but to no avail!
And on some tracks, the abysmal gospel,baldam,mammoth god are dominated by the mesmerizing baking vocals that enhance the listening experience of the album.
On the technical side though I am not an expert, on listening only I realized that it is flawless!
So all in all we are talking about a disc with @@ that in continuation of their history is another lesson in deathcore music.
I’ll give a clean 9 because before listening to Hymns in dissonance I listened to their albums Kin, this is exile and they influenced me. So have a good listen!
