The Italians PONTE DEL DIAVOLO return in discography after 2 years with their second full-length album “De Venom Natura” (they also have 3 EPs from 2020 to 2022) for which they collaborate once again with Season of Mist.

With “De Venom Natura” PONTE DEL DIAVOLO acquire even clearer the identity of the band that likes to try, experiment and mix various genres that are not limited to Metal music. The doom rhythm given by the drums is mixed with the blackened post punk (as they themselves characterize their music) singing of Erba Del Diavolo which in many cases reminds of Sara from MESSA while there are also the most modern touches that resemble synthwave but without such an intense the electronic element. Another point that stands out is Erba’s particularly cinematic singing, mainly in the songs that are in Italian such as “Lunga Vita alla Necrosi” or “Ill veleno della Natura” but also the double bass lines that create a clever contrast and give depth and volume to the melodies.

The album also features several guest musicians such as Francesco Bucci who with his trombone gives a more mournful texture to “Spirit, Blood, Poison, Ferment” and fits perfectly with Erba’s voice. Or Gionata Potenti in the heavier “Silence Walk With Me” in which he shares the vocal lines with Erba.

“De Venom Natura” is an album with a cinematic aesthetic that mixes different influences but throughout its duration maintains a pretentious (in a good way) gravity and diabolical irony that makes it stand out.
