ANTHRAX new album is almost ready according to Frank Bello

During an interview on the latest epidose of SiriusXM’s “Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk”, ANTHRAX bassist Frank Bello offered an update on the progress of the recording sessions for the long-awaited follow-up to the band’s 2016 album “For All Kings”. He said: “The record’s done. It’s going into mixing now. Look, I know it’s a long time coming, and thank you to the fans that are listening right now, and I know it’s been a while. But between COVID, side projects, everything, we’ve all had different lives, and everybody’s very much into what we’re doing now with ANTHRAX. So, you’ll be hearing something before the end of the year, for sure.”

As Bello said, they are probably going to release a couple of singles first since that is the trend these days and then release the full album. He also mentioned that people who liked their last two albums, will love the new one cause they are taking another step up in musicianship and songwriting. Joey Belladona’s singing is one of the best he has done for ANTHRAX and everything seem right.

About their 2026’s touring plans, Bello said: “There’s things being booked now. There might be even stuff being booked for this year, at the end of the year. We don’t know. The contract’s being signed right now. We’ll see. I can’t tell you right now, ’cause it’s not signed, but you’ll love the tour we’re talking about doing later this year, if that works out. I hope it does. [If it happens, it will be] with a package… It’ll be fun. I hope it works out”.

Active over the past five decades, ANTHRAX has released 11 studio albums, been awarded multiple gold and platinum certifications, received six Grammy nominations, toured the world since 1984 playing thousands of shows, including headlining Madison Square Garden and playing Yankee Stadium with the “Big Four”.
