The story of I Proélefsi began in Chile in 2025, a vessel for the instrumental, atmospheric black metal endeavours of M Eidolon – a seeker of knowledge, truth and ancient wisdom. The first, self-titled “I Proélefsi “EP was released in 2025 and through its five musical movements it attempted to bridge the gap between self-awareness and a liberating connection with the universe. Renowned and respected extreme music site, No Clean Singing branded the EP “a fascinating and multi-faceted musical excursion” and they were not alone in their praise. Now M Eidolon is set to extend his second invitation to the willing listener, a second chance to follow the music of I Proélefsi beyond the mundane world on a voyage of realisation and discovery. This time M Eidolon will lead us down into the depths of darkness, beyond the boundaries of experience, with “Ypógeio Vasíleio · Υπόγειο Βασίλειο (Underground Kingdom)”…
“Ypógeio Vasíleio · Υπόγειο Βασίλειο (Underground Kingdom)” is a tale told in five acts, of a soul arriving upon the banks of the River Styx, their journey with Charon the ferryman, passing the gates of Hades and their fearsome guardian, Cerberus, facing the Judges of the underworld and finally being cast into Tartarus, the hidden depths where the fallen Titans dwell. Having transported the listener past the veil that separates life and death through the shadowed ambiance of ‘Apochróseis · Αποχρώσεις (Shadows)’ M Eidolon binds them in this alternative reality through a combination of raw black metal, stunning guitar work, deeply thunderous drums and subterranean bass and melodic keyboards. This experience of otherness is brought to life in all its captivating sensory overload, from the fearsome gaze of Cerberus to the imperious, unshakeable impartiality of the Judges and the terrifying, gargantuan forms of the Titans in the suffocating blackness of Tartarus.
