New single from the Turin-based rock band BOUNCED BACK, titled “Crafted Illusions,” available from today on all digital stores. The track, recorded at Heavy Tones Recordings Studios, is described by the band as follows:

‘Crafted Illusions’ arises from a reflection on the relationship between free will and conditioning. We are often led to believe that our choices are truly our own, the result of an authentic and conscious will. Over time, however, it becomes clear that many decisions are influenced—sometimes in subtle and almost invisible ways—by the expectations of others, past experiences, fears, habits, and all those inner voices that end up shaping what we believe we desire.

The title of the track refers precisely to this process: illusions slowly built over time, almost handcrafted, until they become an integral part of the way we see the world. These are mental structures that seem natural, but which in reality we have created or absorbed without realizing it.

“From a lyrical standpoint, the track moves through imagery connected to nature and motion: waves that disappear without leaving a trace, rivers that silently carve their path, wind that scatters whispers and memories. These images become metaphors for the passage of time and for the attempt to free oneself from those inner constructs that often guide us without our awareness. ‘Crafted Illusions’ is therefore an introspective journey, a path that passes through moments of disorientation and doubt but gradually leads toward greater awareness. It is the moment when the invisible chains that influence our choices are recognized, and the desire to let them go is born, in order to rediscover a more authentic form of freedom.”
