Dead Within Days unveil haunting new single & Video “Sleep Traveler”!

New York’s blind-led metalcore force Dead Within Days has released their most personal and emotionally resonant track to date— “Sleep Traveler” , now available on all major streaming platforms alongside a powerful new music video.

Following the firestorm of their previous single “Lost Light” , the band takes a more introspective turn with “Sleep Traveler,” crafting a sonic journey rooted in beauty, memory, and loss. With soaring guitar work, crushing rhythm, and deeply reflective lyricism, the track explores the inner world of their frontman, who lost 97% of his vision at just 27 years old.

“This may be our most personal song to date,” the band shares. “During the time I wrote the lyrics, I was coming to terms with becoming functionally blind. I could no longer see the green trees, amber sunsets, or starry skies that once brought me peace. Except, sometimes, when I dreamed. ‘Sleep Traveler’ became a love letter to the world I used to see—and to the memories that are now fading too.”

Produced, mixed, and mastered by Billy Pfister of Westfall Records , “Sleep Traveler” is a powerful fusion of melancholy and aggression, echoing the band’s hallmark blend of 2000s-era metalcore with raw emotional depth. Fans of Blessthefall , Bullet For My Valentine , and Darkest Hour will find both nostalgia and fresh authenticity in the band’s latest evolution.

As the world’s first blind-led metalcore band , Dead Within Days continues to redefine what it means to persevere, turning personal tragedy into creative triumph.

“Sleep Traveler” is more than a song—it’s a farewell, a dreamscape, and a scream into the darkness.
