Infernal Storm, the Hellenic Black Metal force emerging from Mount Pindus in Northern Greece, release their new single “Rite of the Northern Sky” from the upcoming album Winter Of The Ancient Wrath on April 3, 2026. The track marks a fierce new chapter for the band as they continue to forge a sound rooted in cold aggression, dark atmosphere, and an unyielding connection to the natural world.
Forged in the underground black metal scene of Kozani, Infernal Storm carry the torch of the Hellenic tradition, drawing from the same well of darkness that gave rise to Rotting Christ, Varathron, and Macabre Omen, while carving a path entirely their own. Their sound channels the raw fury of Dissection with the atmospheric weight of the Greek school, creating something both ancient and visceral.
“Infernal Storm delivers the light to a modern world full of garbage and lies. Mother nature will soon take revenge on us in the worst way, as humanity today tramples on her,” the band states.
“Rite of the Northern Sky” was mixed by Zisis Sapnaras at Binaural Feeling Studios and mastered by Achilleas Kalantzis at Suncord Audiolab, ensuring a production that balances raw ferocity with sonic depth.
The single serves as a harbinger for the band’s debut full-length album, currently being crafted in the studio with a 2026 release in sight. Having already shared stages with the likes of Impaled Nazarene, Borknagar, and Thy Light, Infernal Storm have proven their power in the live arena. Now, with new material rising from the depths, they stand poised to bring the Hellenic underground to a wider stage.
The band is actively seeking a record label to join forces and spread this storm further.
