MONOLORD are a power trio from Gothenburg, Sweden, formed in 2013 and consisting of Thomas Jäger (vocals, guitar), Mika Häkki (bass) and Esben Willems (drums). Their sound combines doom metal with elements of stoner and sludge, characterized by heavy, distorted riffs, slow-paced compositions and psychedelic atmospheres.
They made their recording debut in 2014 with Empress Rising, followed by Vænir (2015), Rust (2017), No Comfort (2019) and Your Time to Shine (2021), establishing themselves as a prominent name in the modern doom metal scene. In 2026, they returned with their sixth studio album, Neverending, recorded with the production assistance of Sylvia Massy, known for her work with TOOL and SYSTEM OF A DOWN.
This December, MONOLORD will visit Greece for two shows in Thessaloniki (December 4 at Eightball) and Athens (December 5 at Gazarte), as part of their European tour promoting their latest album. Doom/stoner rockers STONED JESUS will join them as special guests. Further details will be announced soon.
