Greek blackened-death metal pioneers NIGHTFALL release a striking new video for “The Traders of Anathema,” one of the most commanding moments from their acclaimed, recently-released album Children of Eve. The track stands as a climactic hymn to Judas Iscariot; a figure reimagined by Nightfall as the ultimate rebel and tragic betrayer—its blazing riffs and towering chorus built for the stage.
The video arrives as the band prepare to embark on their upcoming European tour, performing alongside Possessed, Terrorizer, Massacre, and Ater. This marks Nightfall’s long-awaited return to continental stages, highlighted by a special appearance at Eindhoven Metal Meeting.

Produced by Efthimis Karadimas and Fotis Benardo at Devasoundz Studios in Athens, and mixed & mastered by Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Amaranthe, The Black Dahlia Murder), the song exemplifies Children of Eve’s monumental production and conceptual depth: a record that confronts faith, guilt, and rebellion through grand choruses and gothic fury.
Beyond its lyrical ferocity, the video serves as a rallying point for the band’s long-awaited live resurgence. After a lengthy period of introspection and recovery — during which Efthimis openly addressed his struggles with depression and launched the Metal Music Against Depression (MMaD) initiative with the European Alliance Against Depression, Nightfall are ready to reclaim the stage with a message of resilience and defiance.
Efthimis Karadimas comments:
“Hello people of darkness. The time has come for us to hit the road across Europe. After a very long introverted period where we kept the band away from touring activity, we finally set to rise again. From the ashes of depression, the battles with inner demons and all those endless nights in despair, we managed to grow up stronger and motivated. This is by far the best line-up, the loudest and the most precise. I can’t wait to sing about pain and darkness in front of you. Embrace darkness, you children of Eve.”
Children of Eve is out now via Season of Mist.
