Ozzy Osbourne has died at the age of 76. The BLACK SABBATH legend, known as The Prince of Darkness had been battling ill-health in recent years, which caused him to finally bow out of his performing career. He was surrounded by his family.
The Changes musician was suffering from Parkinson’s disease in the lead-up to his death. He underwent a strict training programme in order to be able to headline “Back To The Beginning” giant show in Birmingham on July 5.
Ozzy, who has undergone multiple back and neck surgeries, moved in a specialist rehab therapist in Los Angeles to try to help him stand for several minutes on stage, walk more freely and feel better balanced.
The family said:
“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.
Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis.”
