ROTTING CHRIST released the re-recorded version of “Aealo”

ROTTING CHRIST are the pillars of Greek black metal: since 1987, the band has created a unique sound that combines extreme elements, ancient heritage and ritualistic atmosphere.

With “Aealo” (2010), they reached a decisive turning point in their evolution. This new re-recorded edition brings renewed fire and clarity to one of the most ambitious works in their catalog. Completely revamped with modern production and a much more dynamic mix, “Aealo” emerges more cinematic than ever: female choirs of lament, warlike percussion, folk melodies and imposing riffs collide in a sweeping vision of war, tragedy and pagan spirituality. Guest appearances by Diamanda Galás and Alan A. Nemtheanga (PRIMORDIAL) enhance the album’s mythical presence, while the improved dynamics reveal layers that were hidden in the original recording.

Richer, wilder and more imposing, the new “Aealo” enhances every quality that made the album a modern cornerstone of Greek black metal.
