SLIPKNOT unveils unreleased demo version of “Me Inside”

SLIPKNOT has unveiled a previously unreleased demo of their track “Me Inside”, offering fans a rare glimpse into the early stages of the song before it was refined in the studio for their groundbreaking 1999 debut album. Recorded prior to the band’s sessions at Indigo Ranch with producer Ross Robinson, this demo captures the raw intensity and creative energy that would soon define SLIPKNOT’s signature sound.

The release comes ahead of “Slipknot (25th Anniversary Edition)”, a deluxe reissue celebrating the 25th anniversary of the band’s iconic self-titled debut. Set to drop on September 5, 2025 via Roadrunner Records, this special edition commemorates the album that transformed the Iowa nine from a fledgling metal act into a cultural force that reshaped heavy music for a new generation.

The anniversary edition is packed with rare and unreleased material, chronicling the band’s creative process and choices during the making of their debut. Fans can look forward to alternate versions, test mixes, and previously unheard recordings from sessions at SR Audio, Indigo Ranch, and more. Formats include a 6LP box set with blood-splattered vinyl (limited to 1,899 copies), 2LP, 2CD, and digital releases on streaming platforms. Last month, a limited edition of 100 blood-filled vinyl copies sold out in seconds, crashing the band’s secret site, 742617000027.net.
