SOEN: First Single from Their New Album

SOEN announce their upcoming new studio album, Reliance, which will be released on January 16 via Silver Lining Music.

With Reliance, their seventh studio album, the Swedish progressive metallers, led by Joel Ekelöf (vocals) and Martin Lopez (drums), continue to discover striking new paths in the borderlands between light and darkness, power and calm, heaviness and serenity. With its relentless journey across deeply human emotional landscapes, SOEN’s music keeps exploring the mind, heart, and soul with visionary care, while adding an extra “heavy” edge.

With Lars Enok Åhlund (keyboards & guitar), Cody Lee Ford (guitar), and Stefan Stenberg (bass) standing alongside Ekelöf and Lopez, the rich and ever-evolving sound of SOEN reaches new heights.

The first single, Primal, released today, is a bold, resounding outburst that deals with the existential struggle between the human spirit and the modern world, with Ekelöf’s impressive vocals leading the charge.

Founder and drummer Martin Lopez comments:
“Primal is a song born out of frustration with the world we live in. The corruption, the division, and the crushing grip that technology has over all of us. It’s heavy and straight to the point, built on riffs and raw energy, but it opens up into a chorus that breathes hope, as a reminder that light can still break through the darkness.”
