Uwe Karczewski (1935–2021) was a German graphic designer from Hamburg, best known for his iconic metal album covers during the 1980s. He created legendary artworks for bands like Helloween (Walls of Jericho, Keeper of the Seven Keys I & II) and Iron Angel (Hellish Crossfire, Winds of War) and also designed the logo of Iron Savior in 1997. His style featured hand-drawn, epic imagery with bold colors and fantasy themes. He remains one of the most recognizable visual artists in the European metal scene.
